Love it, Greg.

It’s ok, Don will be tip top after a few swigs of proper American bourbon...

Keep the updates coming!

Thoughts on these wheels?? As it is looking less and less likely my order from PS Engineering will ever be filled, I'm starting to look at other options. These wheels from Rocket Racing are traditionally a Cobra wheel, but I think they could look good on a C2. Open to opinions. The nice thing is, I can purchase one through Summit Racing, see what it looks like on the car (admittedly without tires), and return if it doesn't look good.

I like them as well as the knock off look. My wife said no spinners on ours as she calls them but they may accidentally find their way on the wheels if I go that route. Long way off.

I liked that style and settled on these for my “66:
Staggered 8” and 7” ETMags AC-III in 17” with custom offsets.
The spinners go over a cap that covers the lug nuts. Close-up of wheel below was before we switched to adjustable height coil-overs for the front since front sat too high.

Those really look good! What was the offset/backspace you went with and what size tires are you running?

Greg, did something happen to make you think you will not be able to get the P.S. wheels. I was wanting to get two more for mine in a wider width to avoid having to have my rears widened.

Thank you!

17" x 7" front wheels with 4" backspacing (225 series Tire)

17" x 8" rear wheels with 5.5" backspace (245 or 255 series tire)

I am not exact on tire sizes since it was 2 years ago and car is back at shop for some stuff and not in my garage, but I can get it for you later.

ETMags was great—they sent me a few trial wheels in different offsets to try on my car since things can be tricky to get just right. They also sometimes vary on these cars from left to right.

Greg, I like the Rockets and I am impressed with the quality of the ones I just bought. That said, the cobra style wheels look fantastic! I used those on my FFR Daytona coupe.

Unfortunately, the email address is no longer valid, and the phone just rings. I've also emailed Coker Tire, but haven't heard back yet. I haven't given up completely, but any time I'm not flying over here, I've got nothing but time and an internet connection, so I figured Id start looking around for a back up plan to the T/A-1s.

Agreed. I've used Rocket wheel before on a different project and was also impressed with the quality...especially for the price. I'm also shocked at how good those Cobra style wheels look on Dados car....I'm usually not a 17" wheel fan, but those look just right!

These are still the front runner though....

Thoughts on the Rocket "Cobra" wheel......not at all. I don't think that wheel works for a C2 at all.
I really like the ET ACIIIs. You may also want to consider a "Salt Flat" or "Kidney Bean" style wheel.
On your Daytona Blue '64 Coupe I think an "old school" with an "as cast" gray center really works well with the paint color.

I had looked at those as well....still a consideration if I were to jump to 17s.

I 100% agree on the "as cast" gray centers with the Daytona Blue car, although I've never been a huge fan of the salt flat/kidney bean wheels on Corvettes.....for some reason they scream Tri-5 to me.

Please post the tire details as well as any mods when you get a chance. I also have 64 looking to do wheels and tires on . I am leaning towards 18’s though so I can get more height on the tire. 255 40 18 rear and 225 45 front. Should be right at 27” tall on both ends. Any mods done to the rear of your car for clearance? I have offset trailing arms from Global West to install. Hope this isn’t a thread hijack Greg, but seems to be good info for your car as well.
