I put the Pilot 4S on my wife’s car. They are over sticky when new and you will pick up every rock on the road. They tame down on the rock grabbing but handle great. Miss super driver is on her second set and got 19,000 out of the first set. Would have gone longer if she hadn’t knocked the alignment out. The tires are staggered on her Lexus so I can’t rotate them.

I put those Michelin’s on Fat Boy and then used them to pick up all the shavings, rust flakes, small screws and nuts on the garage floor. Not on purpose, it just happened!

Yea....having a hard time wrapping my head around a $2K set of American Racing Wheels. I'm pretty sure I can find a set of old school originals that weren't made in China for that price
PS: This company also make the traditional TT's - they can build to your specs - big rep in Oz - may be worth an email or phone call
… or you could rejuvenate an older original set … https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...t-w-tires.html

Those look like 15x6.....really trying to get a 15x7 in there. The wheel will fit easily, its all in the backspace/offset.

Just throwing this out there for you to think about. You could have a set of A/R TTIIs in 15X7 custom built to you exact specs (backspace) and have them powder coated to look like a set of vintage magnesium TTs. Take a look at Rex's black L88 clone (DrL88). At this point even though it's a bit pricey that could be a solution to the look you're after.

As far as the PS Engineering wheels go, that option is out as far as I'm concerned. I've sent multiple emails and left multiple voice mails. I've talked with a few of the guys over on the Pro Touring forum who have ordered Vintage Wheel Works wheels through Coker during this transition/acquisition process, and the quality control has been lacking so I'm just going to give up on that option and concentrate on a workable alternative. All that's left when I get home is to bleed the brakes, install wheels and tires, and then start dialing in a rough alignment front and rear so that I can drive it to the shop for a final alignment.

Maybe check with him to see if he knows what the specs were or on the off chance they are still sitting in his shop some where.

If any of you guys have a disc brake car (that you're currently working on), it would be extremely helpful if you could measure the distance from the wheel mounting surface to the inside of the fender lip in the rear with the suspension approximately at ride height.
Thanks,
Greg

This is exactly what I did here, I completely understand having a vision of what you want your ride to look like, there really is no substitute.

Sorry to hear about the PS wheels Greg. Doesn’t sound good if the quality has suffered. I am sure Phil isn’t happy about it either. Maybe he will come out of retirement.

Yea, it really is unfortunate as they have always been the "go-to" shop for American made vintage wheels. I've planned on using them on this build since I started kicking the idea around after selling my Z06 in 2013. I've got a couple back up plans that should work. Just need to get under the car and take some measurements before breaking out the credit card.

Yes Sir it is. I had to move my emergency brake brackets to clear the tires but other than that no issues.

American racing, when I ordered the wheels I specified the back spacing.
