Very Sad!!

After looking at his obituary, I strongly believe that I have met him in Cumberland, MD at the Cumberland (CSX) yard where I have called on Chessie for 35 years. I may be wrong....I must say...it sounds as if he have a Great Life and a great Family.

I'm so sorry to see this. After he left the forum we spoke on the phone several times a year. He lost an eye to cancer as I recall but was very upbeat and discussing driving again. I didn't scrutinize the timeline but he must have taken a quick turn for the worse.

He was was one of my favorite folks on the forum- a fine friend.

Godspeed Bruce!

Obit said he was a conductor in Garrett IN, and as such he would not have worked as far as Cumberland. But sometimes guys worked other territories when things got slow so it's not totally impossible.

We both had a love for midyear silver coupes. Mine looks the way it does because of Bruce's input. We were to meet someday, but didn't. Here is his '64.
