Default After market seats for a C2

I'm interested in some aftermarket seats to replace my old ones. This would be for a roadster so I don't want them to high. Also since I don't have a shoulder harness I was thinking of ones with a lot of side support.

Any ideas?????

Default seats

Late 80's/early 90's Pontiac Fiero seats. Mine fit great, they don't have the headrest speakers. You can cut them down if you want. Seat control trims are still available new, about to install mine. You'll need to move the mount holes but you don't have to modify the track heights any.

This subject has been covered in several posts over the past few years. If you do a search, you will get quite a few examples, along with photos, of seat conversions Here's one to get you started

I might have to go take a picture, but I run on my racer 1960s Aluminum framed lightweight, butt bolstered Paddy Hopkirk Mini Cooper Race Rally seats!

They don't tilt, but are very comfy for racing seats!

PS I also have some old Scheels out of my old Porsche somewhere in my storage!

Thanks TC
Seats for the Corvette will just be for cruising with more lateral support. My Porsche has Recaro.

I have a 1965 coupe and I also have a new
2016 fiat 500. I have always thought the fiat seats would work great in my 65 they tilt and resemble the same shape as my original 65 seated if you removed the headrest on them. They also raise and lower the bottom with a crank for adjustment. They are extremely comfortable. Check them out.

Default Seats

These are out of a 92. They have electric bolsters, and lumbar adjusters. You can really lock yourself in with the bolsters being able to move them in and out. They also move up and down and the back tilts forward. Very comfy.

Try looking at the Scat Seats at Jegs.com, part # 942-80-1500. They resemble the stock seats with headrest. Top of the headrest is only 32" high and the seatback's angle can be changed. Hope this helps.

Understand that the luggage stop on a convertible limits the amount to tilting to the back.

How tall are you...?
REALLY just watch out many of the above seats put YOU closer to the steering wheel, just my 3 cents. Also most have you sitting much higher in the seat...

Agreed!! At 6'6 - 210, Ive looked everywhere for an aftermarket seating option thats more supportive than the factory seats. Unfortunately, nothing sits as low, and as far back as the factory seats.

Default C6 Seats

I installed C6 ZO6 seats in my 65 convertible. I removed the power motors and bracketry and made short extension brackets bolted to the C6 frames to install in the stock location. At 6'4'' and 245, my head was even with top of the windshield with the newly restored stock seats. This installation gives me 2 to 3 additional inches of leg room and lowers the seat at least two inches. The seats are in a fixed location, so this may not work for everyone. It made a huge improvement for me.

Just ordered these for my C2 Coupe. Like you I wanted a road usable seat with tilt but much more support than the originals. Stefan, who makes them will do them to your spec. I am havering them made in black leather with stitching to match the 66 Vette seats.
I have looked at loads of options but these were much the best to give real comfort and still retain period style.
Best Jamie
