Default C2 torque specs

Howdy.. I am rebuilding a 65 corvette and need to know the torque spec for the lower A arm bushing bolts.. Thanks in advance.. DaleO

Specs in the rear of the shop manual state 40 lb-ft for lower control arm bushing retainers. The lower control arm cross shaft bolts, however, are 70 lb-ft for the front bolt and 135 lb-ft for the rear bolt

If memory is correct that spec is for under load. Or all the weight and all four tires

I know that is for the bushing cupped washer bolts at the ends of the shafts... you want the car to be on the ground and settled...BUT...

I usually torque the lower control arm shaft to frame bolts BEFORE I install the coil spring so there is NO pressure on the lower control arm. But that is how I do it and others can do it differently if so desired.
