C2 clutch assembly

Melting Slicks
LuK was the OEM supplier. Although the original number was discontinued many years ago, the LuK replacement kit is #04-021. I have one in my '67. Do a search and you'll find many threads on the subject.

I just installed a McLeod Super Street Pro in the '66 which I am very pleased with. I know a lot of guys have problems with getting new clutches to adjust properly on these cars as the clutch geometry is very limited in stroke due to the design of the car. I'm just suggesting this clutch for that reason so you know this set up is excellent and feels terrific.

The Luk clutch is perfect for a street driven 327. You will be very happy. Dennis

You might want to read through this thread before buying a replacement clutch.

If not we may be seeing your next thread - why can't I engage first and reverse is clashing?

I would look at post 37 in the thread for a couple clutches that failed and one that passed.

My car is an LS3 conversion and thus completely irrelevant for the stock setup discussion, however I just went from a RAM to a McLeod Super Street Pro and its an amazing difference.
Great clutch, light pedal, smooth engagement, holding LS3 power levels so far. Even if I was replacing stock I would use them again.

If you don't have any test equipment which amounts to a press and a dial indicator, and you don't want to pull it apart again after you find out that you can't get the throw/engagement dialed in properly, then go with the McLeod. You don't have to get the high end clutch assy, just the entry level will do.
