AC Hoses
Were the factory fittings made on the hoses or do they look like a regular hose clamp. Mine look like a regular hose clamp with a flat piece that catches the end of the rubber hose to ensure the clamp is the correct distance from the end of the hose. Someone is trying to tell me this is not factory...I'm not buying it.
Thanks,
Thanks,

Randy:
GM/Chevrolet went to the crimped ends around 1969. Prior to this time, they were just as you described.
The logo on factory AC hose clamps from this period should be "Murray"

Many thanks to all who answered.
I thought mine were correct but this guy acted like he knew what he was talking about. I'm trying to get my air working better and keep it original. I think my POA valve may be stuck closed or partially open. He suggested, before recharging it, I should get hoses with the end fittings made on, like the ones that came on it. I told him these were the original ones.

They can also be rebuilt..........or good used ones purchased.
I had this problem on my 1967 car and was able to free it up by SLOWLY running a small oil charge thru the valve with the AC on. But it is probably easier to fix or replace if on the bench.
