Greg- we are kindred spirits except I continue to follow this thread and I still think our brethren need bumpers!

I've managed OK without bumpers for the last 47 years. I think I can make it to the finish line.

And FWIW, I asked the girl out but she turned me down.

She probably would have gone out with you if you had the bumpers on the car!!!LOL!!!

Hahaha....we definitely have similarly impeccable taste

So that '63 Z06 I posted initially, was the inspiration for the '63 Coupe that Bring A Trailer restored a few years ago using only parts sourced on Ebay. For anyone that missed the build, it was very interesting to follow and if you go to their web site, you can search for the old articles. I'm not doing anything drastic to my car this year, other than getting it sorted and on the road, but I'm leaning in this direction.....

.....did you take the section out of the middle, or the two ends?

Typical winter (snow & salt) in Montreal Quebec, March 1969. I sold the car after owning for about 3 months; mechanical repairs were eating my lunch. VIN 6S104166, L36, K66, PW, PB, N14. Still out there ???

Took two pieces out just on each side of the middle where the spoiler is square and they match up after the pieces are taken out. Fiberglas on the back side and body filler on the front side sand and paint.

I ran it on one of those NMVTIS sites and it shows no record, but then realized you are / were in Canada. I'm guessing a Canadian registry would not show up in the USA database. So there is still hope for you to find it.

yes, Camaro, but no mods, I bought a plastic one, let it heat up in the sun, and played with it until it fit..I may have used a 67-68 as they are not as wide as a 69 spoiler.

It doesn't show on the C2 Registry either!

Looks like he was able to install closer to the front of the car and on a different angle after using heat to work the plastic. Very creative! Looks great.
I had to cut because I went all the way back which has more curve as you move back to install.

I built my 66 in the 70s and it was all the style then to take them off, plus I shaved the nose of signals and moved them into the grill through the bumper mount holes. It was good enough to make the back inside cover of Corvette Magazine in 77.......I still love the look.

Probably just as well, the year before I dated that year's queen for the whole summer, then she dumped me and broke my heart. Besides, Benton, you have seen who I wound up with, and she's a keeper, so things worked out in the long run.

Greg- the BAT car is pretty- even though I like bumpers I love the color and wheel and tire choice. Which is odd for me as I normally like white walls (I've wondered how gold lines would look on a Daytona blue car!)
