No Frankie, I just did not look closely at it. Should be an easy fix, I am sure the person who put them on 7 years ago, did not have a manual .

I am positive is was not me.....I think......this getting old is a bitch...lol

Jack

PS be nice or I will repost pictures of you in uncompromising situations..

Enjoyed this tutorial. Re the direction of the bolt. Thinking out loud here...when assembled at factory, the frame was upside down to aid suspension assembly, bolts were dropped into the holes to streamline assembly.

Good job Jack!

Hi Jim, I am trying to repost or in new posts, Title them so that if someone wants to find out a how to fix an issue , they can search for it .

"How to Fix" should lead most posts . Instead we use catchy phases to get attention.

And it included pictures too. Guess that makes it doubly bad on us.

The Shop Manual states that a "rubber lubricant" is to be used on the bushings. What's a good rubber lubricant?

Dielectric (silicon) grease. You could use anti-seize grease too but it's silver color will probably leach out on the exposed rubber some.

Also, if you have any of the special lubricant left from any poly bushings you have ever used - it works well too. It's kind of like extra tacky dielectric grease.

An old quote from my aircraft maintenance days:

Twenty nine replies on replacing stabilizer bar links? That must be a lot more difficult than I remember.

Don't you just love it.......good thing I have owned the car for 47 years....I can't imagine all the mistakes I made fixing it before I could sign on to the Corvette Forum.....

As most of you know I like posting "How to do's" for new owners...

I still recommend to most new owners to order catalogs for the top vendors and read them front to back. You will learn how you car goes together..and the parts needed to restore them. Good diagrams....etc.

When you just go online...you lose the progression of parts that go together, that you can follow in the catalogs.
