Default Modern Wonderbar with Bluetooth

Has anyone bought the C1/'62 model replacement radio and how reliable are they. They are quite expensive for such a simple looking radio. Looking for reviews mainly.

if you are asking about the AAR radio, the current consensus is that it is a good radio; no one seems to have anything good to say about other brands...

as to simple and expensive; thank God there is a tamper proof seal on the radio that if it is broken voids the warranty. otherwise the temptation to look inside would just depress you as to how simple it really is....

I have one and they are very reliable, look great and yes they are expensive.

But it is cheaper than having an original restored.

Just installed one in my 59 today. It will take a little to get use to the controls, mainly due to then being under the dash pad somewhat. I have to look over and down to see what is going on. Love it so far!! Big improvement over what I did have (old AM/FM from the early 70s). One thing BE PREPARED to WAIT 6-8 weeks minimum for it once ordered!

I have one on order.. Best speaker to use with this radio would be?????? I cannot use the dash (original) speaker because I have a rolled and pleated dash pad that has been installed over the dash speaker. I could cut into the dash pad which could lead to nightmare job if I fail.......

I have purchased the kick panels, trim inserts, wind lace, and speakers to use instead of the dash located original speaker.

I'm not looking for outstanding sound...just better sound. What would be a good spec for a pair of speakers to use with the AAR Wonderbar Bluetooth Reproduction radio?

Thanks.....

The AAR repro Wonderbars have come a long way, initially quality was spotty. I've had three of them since then and all have worked wonderfully. They have a new circuit board design and that has increased reliability by an order of magnitude. Sucks on your speaker options as the best one goes in the dash...other than that many buy the kick panel speakers. Some of THOSE folks have swapped out the included speakers for high-end versions for $$$ to put in the kick panels.
