Definitely some 70s custom work. If those are side marker lights on the rear fenders it might even be late 60s when those were just coming out. Groovy man.

Looks like it would make a nice drag car! On the street- not so much.

I'm currently building a tribute car to look just like it. Just waiting for more tail lights to come in.

And as an added dose of cool, those brake lights/turn signals are probably sequential.

I had a body shop back in the 60's and 70's. This car would have made some of the car magazines. I remember D&A Corvette in IL building these 63-67's with station wagon rear ends.
I kinda dig the Mopar marker lite in the quarter panel, and the front mudflaps.
I would like to see more of these pics, and maybe find out where they may be today.

When I striped the paint on my 65 I discovered that someone had installed those side marker lights and then patched the holes. It must have seemed like a good idea at the time.

I'm not crazy about the double mud flap on front tires. Also where to get 1156 bulbs for all those lights??????

I think side marker lights came out in 68 if I'm not mistaken and I think those were a one year version for Mopars. I figure that became a custom feature for a couple of years before the novelty wore off - thus thinking it could date to the very late 60 or early 70s.

Not everyones's cup of tea but customs like that were all the rage for a lot of automotive guys once Detroit went into their 70s doldrums. They are kind of a unique piece of Corvette history.

Well, the date on that photo is from two years ago, so it's probably still in that style.
