1966 L-72 Roadster - Raleigh, NC Area - Suggested Inspector
The '66 L-72 I was attempting to purchase in New York fell through because the inspector was able to determine the engine block was a re-stamp and the owner finally "fessed up".
I have a '66 L-72 roadster which looks to be a nicely documented real deal car in Cary, NC (Raleigh area). Can anyone suggest a relatively local C2 expert who I could hire to perform a pre-purchase inspection/test drive?

Just Damn. So the seller was trying to pass off a restamp as original! Shame on him. That's just fraud, plain and simple. Good thing your rep caught it. Do you know if the seller has corrected his story subsequent to your determination as false, or do you think that he will try to foist it off on some other poor unsuspecting soul?

The owner/seller of that car is probably the best C2 expert in the Raleigh area...
