Default Tremec TKO 600 5sp Speedometer Signal Wiring Question

I'm in the process of installing Dakota Digital VHX analog gauges in my 66 Coupe and I'm having a problem getting the speedometer to register a speed reading. Not much luck so far with DD tech people. Anyone out there have this tremec 5sp hooked up to a Dakota Digital VHX analog gauges and have the speedometer working correctly please advise. My trans has a module on the rear tail of trans (driver's side) with two black wires that go to a two prong fitting. Please advise and thanks in advance for your responses!

Is there a "plug" on the pass side rear of the tail shaft?

There is a plug on passenger sidebut is not on the tail shaft. I've attached a picture of the plug. What is the purpose of this plug?
