I'll even state my reason in public - my very first car was a '59.

Even though I've never had a C1, I would like to have the following, in order of preference:
1957
1959/60
1958 (because my wife is a '58 model).
1954 (because I am a '54 model)
1955
1956
1953
1961
1962
1957
1959/60
1958 (because my wife is a '58 model).

1955
1956
1953
1961
1962

'56 I tend to like the first year of a car. Purest form of the model warts and all.
One of my Healey is #923 built Dec '53. Odd reverse 3 speed shift pattern, seats fixed but steering wheel moves, one piece plexiglass side curtains. Odd ball things that make the car interesting..

My favorite is this 1956. I'll never have it since the friend who owns it will never get rid of it, having it since he built it in 1965.
It is a hot rod and that is what these seem to really do well as. 327, 4 speed, side pipes, and slightly custom body. It has so much more character than a stock look.
I think that is why I also like the '59 and '60, they were cleaner on the body than the '58.

When I went shopping for a solid axle car, it had to be a '58 for me.

Safety Car
I always wanted a '57 hot rod. I could never afford one. Then I found a '58 orphan that I could afford.
That was going to be a '58 vintage racer. I couldn't afford that either. Now I have a '58 survivor. A survivor with a. restored interior. Go Figure.
If I had my druthers I would get '62. fuelie. Another car I can no longer afford.

I really like this white one a lot.

[QUOTE=Randy G.;1594915480]I like them all. In order by year, what I owned or still own. 1954, 1957, 1958, 1960, 1961, 1962. The 1954 and 1962 will be for sale in a few weeks, then I'll have none.
Randy, I wish I had the extra money - I'd jump on your beautiful '54 so fast you wouldn't know what hit you.

If I could have another C1 besides my 61, a 57. But I'm lucky to have even one; I voted for them all!

But today, I now have two hotrods, the 56 and the T-bucket as a buddy (the red and white 57 belongs to a friend).
