1954 rear deck top catch
Rear deck convertible top catchs are missing on my '54. Are there templates or measurements somewhere that I can use to install them.
Could someone that has a '54 make a template? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Can you tell by looking by lifting the deck and looking underneath to see if their are any marks or dips that might have not been completely taken care of when they plugged the holes? I've had about 50/50 success in looking for holes that way when they've been covered.

If you plan on some day putting a top on it I would wait to cut the holes. The 53-55 tops have a different type of catch compared to later C1's and they aren't very forgiving if you get it even slightly wrong. Once the top is on (including canvas) open up the top, latch the top frame to the windshield posts and mark where the scissor catches hit the deck. Otherwise you risk having to plug more holes and getting it painted. Besides, for now it looks fine.
