Recently purchased a repro gill bar from Ecklers and the quality leaves something to be desired. We had all the original grill parts and bumpers but not the grill bar. The originals we're replated and look great. When you look at the installed combination, the first thing you see are the waves in the grill bar. And suggestion on another vendor/supplier? I expect all come from the same supplier across the water!

Also should note that the waves are from not having them redone. I bought a NOS grill bar and it had the same waves. The one I purchased was with the original GM packaging. I did not get it redone and left it as is. Not really noticeable since I have the license plate bumper on my corvette.

Any one you buy will probably have the waves in it unless one has been refinished.

Original, unmolested C1 bumpers will all have waves along with the grill center bar and the metal eyebrow inserts...that is absolutely normal, factory quality...

If you want show quality, flawless parts you'll pay dearly for them..

I learned this after I had all of the chrome work done. They did all of the eyebrows plus the rest except for the grill bar. I had the grill bar sitting in the original GM box and never opened to check it out before I sent out all of the chrome. For me, it really did not matter much.
