Hotel room at 3am
Can't sleep so I'm sitting here awake at 3am in a little hotel room in a little town in Tennessee and I'm about to pick up a 56 in a few hours that used to be an old drag car from Michigan that two brothers used to race in the 70's. One of the brothers brought the car to Tennessee several years ago when he moved down here. He sold the car about 4 years ago to this couple. I've been chasing this thing since last September when a guy down here called me and said this couple were wanting to sell this car. Since then they have gone through a divorce, she gets the car in the settlement but the darn thing is in his garage and he won't let her have it. She can't set foot on the property, so in a few hours, myself, her and a couple of police officers with a court order, will see if he will give up the car. He doesn't know we're coming either. I really feel sorry for him. I went through the same thing 17 years ago. A cheating wife then boom, you've lost everything. Never had to do this before for a car. So here I am awake. I forgot to mention that I have not seen it in person yet, (two tiny pictures in a text) so hopefully this is not a wild goose chase. I won't have much time to look at it either, so wham bam, thank you ma'am. It will be this afternoon when I get home before I can post again......hopefully.

Well, It took some doing on their part with the police helping, but Jane and Bubba have the car now. They sent pics of the car loaded up. I will be picking it up tomorrow but it will make me get home late.

The two cops and the court order should get the car out of his possession and into hers. Good luck!

Yes, it will be in my trailer unless I back out after my first impression and then it's her problem. No money has changed hands yet.

I wouldn't get in the middle of that mess over a car for love nor money.
Just my personal opinion.

Let's see, If it were my car and she got it in the divorce, she could have it - One Piece At A Time.
Who doesn't want a frame off restoration in progress and not knowing if all of the parts are there.
Good luck, you have brass ***** getting in the middle of a war between a car guy and his EX as she continues to torture him.
Watch for guns other than those the cops are carrying.

Don't get caught in the crossfire when this thing goes sideways.
Be ready to jump for cover in a second.
You know how emotional guys can get over their vettes.
