what is the proper way to replacew the heater core in my 1967 corvette

If it's not a numbers matching car you might want to look into Vintage Air.

Drain coolant.
Remove hoses
Remove glove box assembly
Remove heater cables and wires
Remove bolts holding the heater box
Remove outer heater box
remove heater box

Just giving him advice on a better option to look into. If you're going to go through all that work then upgrading is the way to go, IMO.

Well he did say proper way. . And if you need heat for fall or spring drives or even winter , the are members that drive in the winter! You still need the heater core

Nowhereman has it stepped out.
