2017 Carlisle's a BUST for us - Our Cabin's available Thurs-Sun $67/$72/$72
We're giving up Cabin C1 at Western Village RV Park (less than 5 miles from the fairgrounds gate.) Cabin is available Thurs/Fri/Sat nights for $67/$72/$72 nightly rate. ($216 all in, must take all 3 nights.)
We love this place and re-booked when checking out last year. Anyone interested please PM me ASAP as otherwise we are going to ask our deposit to be put over to next year.
...And yep - Sadly, this year's Corvettes at Carlisle is a bust for Jennie and I. .. and what a year to miss!
Reasons don't involve anything dramatic, just a case of life piling too much on and something had to give. In this case it was getting our '65s rear rebuilt in time to take it, and I still have too many priority demands just go with a driver. We are REALLY going to miss seeing everyone, plus all the big festivities - but most of all our annual gathering of friends. Feel like a big turd-cake for missing this.
So, I thought I'd post up for anyone heading there that does not have committed or perfect accommodations.
For the last handful of years, we've reserved a Cabin. C1 is one of their bigger primitive cabins and we booked Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. It's a basic bring-your-own bedding bunkie, but it does sleep 6 people. (1 set of bunk beds with mattresses, 1 full size bed in loft and 1 below, with mattresses.) There is air conditioning, electric light and outlet, porch with light, picnic table and fire ring outside. Water and bath house right across the street. They have an awesome inground pool, too. It's great to have a safe, comfortable and roomy place to keep our stuff secure from all the elements. Also really nice to be in a campground for the event.
PM me soon if you are interested.

not a bad deal for just a place to sleep. You will probably eat out all the time so most you will do is sleep and wash your AZZ and back to the fairgrounds. Looks like a better rate then any Hotel with roaches and smells like Curry. Just take change of cloths and a sleeping bag to sleep on and a few cold bottles of Adult Beverage and away you go.

Damn, I wish we were going. Having other commitments really sucks sometimes.
