Default minor chips in windshield

[i have some minor chips in my windshield and was wondering what
product is best to buff out the chips? do i need a good buffer?

i dont have a good buffer so i guess i will be purchasing one.

have u had good success at removing the chips?

thanks for any advice or help.

If you can feel it, it is unlikely you will be able buff it out. I tried this on a windshield and ruined it. If you still insist on doing it, then I would leave it to a professional. If it is dated glass that you would really like to keep on your car then I would leave it alone and live with the chips. God luck with whatever you decide.

I've thought about using some thinned down clear paint to carefully dab into a larger pit to see if it might not help obscure it - but never got to serious about trying it. Has anyone done this?
