'62 in Pacific Grove, Monterey CA.
Made it to the Monterey show last week-end.
Always a nice show/rally in Pacific Grove.
After the show on Friday, the cars all drive through the 17 mile drive.
And we received an award for best restored!

Amazing that the Monterey Bay area euro snots would let you in. They must have become more diverse since I lived there. You got the best looking car there. Well done.

Its certainly come a long way since the "incident".....I was heartsick for you when that took place..
Your '62 will never be a DeLorean of course, but still, a fine example of a C1

Love your car! I want to get a hard top for mine. Is yours a OEM hard top?

There is nothing like a red corvette! BTW, I also lived in the neighborhood. That place can have three different weather conditons in the same day.

BTW... the euro-snots only let you 'in' because of those spinners on your wheels. They thought you were 'one of them'

Hey Pat!
Sept 10th Chico's Concours d'Elegance is happening (39th year)... More just like a car show than anything but still cool. This goes for anyone else in Norcal.

Sweet! I saw the car at PG Rally- I was there in my Euro trash Porsche! I am always surprised by the number of C1s that appear. I never expect to see any. I stood and gawked at your car for quite some time as it is similar to my own. Well done!

I REALLY like the way your car turned out.
I always told myself i would never have a solid red C1 just because it seems ALL of them were red during the '80s restoration cycle, but yours i would make an exception for. For one thing, it is nice bright red looks like BC/CC, not boring Roman red.

Classy ride, Pat. Love the wheels/color/stance. Bada$$$ all the way. Been going to the Historics of and on since 1990....have friends that enter each year who are out of Visalia...mainly brass era stuff. I almost went this year, but something came up. I always drive my 'cruiser' ( dark burgundy '67 GTO ragtop) but never enter any events! Glad you had a great time.

The PG rally is the best event of the whole week, because normal people can participate in it, as compared to most other events where you can only spectate. Terrific looking '62, Pat!

The hardtop is an original '62 hardtop (or possibly a '61), but it wasn't the one that came with the car.
Unfortunately, that was one of the items I lost when it was stolen. And....I had just finished restoring it after sitting in the rafters for over 20 years!
A friend of mine had purchased this hardtop and offered it to me for the same price he got it for. Thanks Deano!!!
It was in "pristine" condition for it's age, but I still restored it, and painted it to match the car.

Pat that had to be uncommonly satisfying, given the event of the past.
Good job!
