Can someone please identify engine pad V08088HE. The intake is # 3872783 and the date code is G 8 6. This is all that I have to go on. It is from a 67.
The pad stamp starting with the V is the engine plant stamp. V stood for Flint V8 beginning in ’67 (they used the letter F before ‘67), but there is one extra number – maybe an extra 8? HE is the engine code for a 300HP/327. The intake manifold is the correct part number for a 300HP. The manifold date code (G86) translates to July 8, 1966, which would be consistent with an engine build of August 8, 1966 (V0808), which would be a very early car.
I see Jackfit has a similar post with the same pad stamp and a VIN ending in 299 - making it a very early car.

Yes Jack is helping me. I did not see his thread. Thank you very much for this breakdown.
