Just a I expected, a bunch of whitehead, overweight old dudes. I fit right in except my hair is still blonde.
Seriously, it is too bad we don't have more interest by the younger generation these days.

As part of the younger generation, I'm sorry I couldn't make it up from TN- I heard Keith was going to be there but he didn't make the photo, he's a little younger than me even. New baby, I know (congrats!).
That photo looks like a great ssemblage of guys to have a beer with and soak up some knowledge.

Have to agree. That group shot seems to include car guys spanning I would guess late 40s to mid-late 60s. About what I would expect to see owning C1-C2 vettes. Who else would anyone expect to own them? College kids? I was there three days, and I saw everything from toddlers to young families, to mid-aged dads with their grade school aged kids to senior citizens. All age groups were represented. I am on corvette overload now. I think the corvette hobby is healthy.

At 36, I suppose I also qualify as one of the unruly youths not in attendance....I spent most of the weekend under my car as opposed to driving it...still getting some of the bugs worked out of a car that hasnt been driven with any regularity since 1982.

Some can't add, and some can't spell. But we all love corvettes.

I had a great time time this weekend. The ride up was nice but the ride back was even better. I got home just in time for the race and the #3 corvette wins. It so nice to meet up with our forum friends and I really enjoyed spending time with Don, 65hipo, and Paul, capevettes. I got to meet MikeM, Keith and many others. Special thanks to Tom Selby for the help fixing my seat yesterday afternoon. The lower screw that holds the back up came out on the door side. Tom ran down a new screw and it's fixed for the ride home. I was there before 7 both Friday and Saturday. Here are a few pictures. The first one is my 66 which was a pleasure to drive over 700 miles since Thursday morning.

Those L-88 cars with side mount headers make some amazing sounds. At speed, it must be beyond believeable. Dennis

The L88 "seminar" with the engine light-off was my second favorite.
Even though my car didn't make it all the way down, I had a great weekend.

Safety Car
I decided to have my C5 judged by the NCCC. I didn't realize I was gonna have to spend all Saturday there with the car. We took a car that was not prepared at all and came within 1/2 a point for 1st in our class. I heard the call for the forum photo, but I couldn't make it. I'm not sure I want to go through that process again. Sorry I didn't make it up.

I was just overwhelmed with it all. As my first time there, I was like a kid in a candy store. Stopped by to see Bluestripe at the c2 regestry but he was MIA. Met another gentleman named Dennis who was wonderful helping try to find him. No other Forum members were around when I stopped by their locations. So sad as not to meet any of you here. Will try again next time I go. Long flight from the left coast but worth it. I hear I got lucky with the great weather. Maybe I'm a good luck charm.....
