Default 1953-55 picture from 1961 owner Howard Shunk.

Saw this on a Facebook post this morning.

Million to one shot.
I found this pic in an old scrap book of my mothers. I would love to connect this pic with the current owner of this Corvette.
Owner in 1961 was Howard Shunk.
Probably in the midwest - Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa

Not being able to see the big V if it were a 55 Corvette I can tell you it probably is a 54 Corvette because the 53 Corvettes had Black tops not tan like that one is.

It has the larger inside rear view mirror, so it's a '55.

The 54's had a drivers side rear view mirror. I have owned about 7 or 8 of them and they all had a drivers side rear view mirror on them. Randy don't your 54 have a drivers side rear view mirror?

Not the early ones. Randy your eyes must be better then mine (which would not take much) I can not tell how big the Rear View Mirror is, it looks standard size of a 54 to me. But maybe it is not.

Early 54's had short tips, later 54's have the longer tips.

I looked at the inside rear view mirror of my '54 for 11 years. I can guarantee you that the one inside that car in the picture is not a '54. '55's were larger, like I said. That mirror is about 30% too tall.

If Randy says it's a '55 due to the large inside rear view mirror, I believe him. Now, will Howard Shunk please stand up?

Being to small was my big complaint. In '55 they made them larger and continued the larger dash mounted mirrors through 1962.
