Westlotorn and 68hemi- thanks guys! I love the old stories. Couldn't put a Chevy in a Ford newer than '53 or '54 though.
I like all kinds, but everyone has a favorite- my favorite has just always been a c2. My 69 is a great little car but I've had a few and the mustang is the latest flavor. Still leaning toward keeping the 64 (no question) but cutting loose the 69.
I took the family for a - short - ride in the subdivision after my last post. The car is tight except for a little water pump noise. I'll go through it.
Lots to do maintenance on but I'm still gratified it went for a drive today.
The corvette brotherhood really makes a guy feel good about an F car, and I appreciate it.

Looks good. Do you have the trim rings and center caps for those wheels?

I think they're 68 "GT" type wheels yes. I like them! I don't have the caps and rings. I do have a nice set of the original full wheelcovers that came with the car.
(I also like some 17" modern wheels including the factory 5 spoke from about '2002.)

I still recall my exact words. "I hate to say it, but I finally found a Mustang that I like."
A couple years later I sold my '67 Vette and bought a basket case '56, and a friend was selling his '69 Mustang and I bought that for a DD. I don't have any pics of just the car itself. Since we are talking about Mustangs, should I apologize for having a Vette in the photo?

Yes, I believe with the big "GT" letters on the center cap.

That's a beaut, Midyear! Mine was not a Mach One or anything special, but the body lines were sharp regardless.
