Default Correct Carb to Base Gasket? -Holley 3810

I am looking for the correct base gasket for the Holley 3810. So far all I find is a generic gasket with extra mounting holes and would need to be trimmed. Has anyone the correct Holley part number?

Thanks.

Holley 3810 gasket usage is dependent on engine H.P. For example: iron intake for 300 H.P. car uses Paragon p/n's 1135 for gasket + #1134 for the stainless steel insulator plate. The 350 H.P. aluminum intake uses Paragon p/n 1136.

Correct! The same carburetor uses a different gasket on the two different engines (300hp and 350hp) due to the configuration of the intake manifold opening; the 3810 uses a four-hole gasket (and the four-hole stainless insulator) on the four-hole iron intake on the 300hp, and it uses a three-hole gasket on the three-hole aluminum intake on the 350hp engine. The carb gasket ALWAYS matches the intake manifold carb pad configuration.

My intake manifold is one large, squarish hole.

If you have the correct '490' intake, it should look like this. The correct gasket has the same 2-hole, 1-racetrack slot configuration.

Both are same as my '66 L79. I've bought the carb gasket at local auto parts stores that carry Holley carb parts. Pep Boys and O'Reillys in Colorado Springs.

My intake manifold shows 3890490, but it is one rectangular opening, not the three hole as yours.

All I can assume is that a previous owner must have "modified" it????

Yes; definitely 'modified'. You may be able to get by with an 'open' configuration Holley gasket. They are readily available at FLAPS or Rock Auto. Typical p/n G14733.
