I like white mid year coupes... they are so clean and show off every line of the design. But boy a fresh bright red interior just jumps out. Classic Corvette combination too. I like white over red a lot.

Ha! Those were installed in June, 1964, by the original owner, who took it racing. It used to have an oil temperature gauge in the glove box door, and also still has the air temp gauge below the clock in the middle. The original owner also bought a set of Goodyear Blue Streaks to replace the original whitewalls it came with when it was delivered. The chronometers still work, as they did when the car was raced and did time trials at Bonneville, hit a top speed of 154+, it has a 3.08 rear end ratio too.

This is one of my good friends car! Actually, it's a very classy looking car in person. The pictures don't necessarily do the interior color justice ! Regardless of the color combination, the car is perfect and very rare with the air conditioning option !!
And by the way, the carpeting is not red, again just poor photos !

Very clean looking. A lot of guys think that the white is boring but the red interior make them a different car over a black interior. I had a 65 White/Red coupe years ago that was a 300 h.p., auto trans, A/C, PS, PB, PW car that I bought for my wife otherwise I would have never bought and auto trans car.

I am also partial to contrasts in exterior/interior colors, like my black/white and black/silver fuelie J56 tankers:

I don't think there's any Red in the interior, it's saddle. That saddle in/white out kinda goes with the AC car, I think like dplotkin said, it's got that luxury 60s touring look. Loaded with power everything, I assume the seats are leather, saddle being the only color they came in.
I'm going to that Mecum event, so I'll look closely.
Frankie, it would not take me long to get used to Red/red.

Red paint bubbles, not so much. After 3 years of fighting them all over the car I'm fixing that PERMANENTLY!

You want red - we got red. This is the car with color on it.

IIRC that "bass boat" paint with the gargantuan metal flakes was a popular C3 treatment in the 70s. Very 'funkadelic'
