Burning Brakes
- Look at front and rear frame to see if bent/damage from a crash
- Frame rot on rails just front of the rear tire
- Look at the inner fenders, underside of the rear, etc. for repair
- Bird-cage (look under the dash) and up between frame rails
- Serial number plate (is it the stock plate or a replacement from a vehicle recovery
Key point, as you stated, that you are "not afraid to walk away from the car"! Good luck and hope it turns out to be the car of your dreams!

Hope everything goes well because it could be one of the BIGGEST and BEST days of your life. Soak it ALL in and enjoy it. You are lucky to be creating lifetime memories. Nice C2’s just seem to do just that.

You guys have been great with all good suggestions. I had the dealer send a few more pics
I normally would not consider a car with a color change, but I have to say going from white to silver really worked for this car. Vin and trim plates appear to be original.
Under carriage and frame pics seem to be good and I am not seeing any red flags as of yet....but that can change upon final inspection.

I see nothing in those pictures that would scare me away.

Just got back home today. Car was excellent and drove even better. Love the sound of solid lifters. A/C didn't work so we had to renegotiate a little. Saved enough to hopefully repair or update the unit. No really big rush since we are in the beginning of fall.
Tires are dated to 1989 so they will be one of the first things to be upgraded.
The frame was so clean and much better than my 1970 LS5 I just sold.
Now the fun starts with all the small minor fixes and updates.
Thanks for all the support.

Thats good news and congratulations on the purchase. Very smart of you to check the tires as they are candidates for blowing. How you getting it home? Dennis

I was lucky enough to ride in this car today. The lines are perfect and the color is beautiful. Smacota1 is one lucky son of a gun. He is going to have so much fun with his new purchase. Thank you for dinner and be sure to thank your lovely wife for me!
