What's this dash wire for?
I'm stumped on this one. Putting back the interior in a '63 roadster and after hooking up the dash cluster I have a black connector with a red and yellow wire with no place to plug it in. Its a newer harness and the red and yellow wire lead into the main harness, no splice. Anyone have a clue what it gets connected to?

The tech warning buzzer was a single pink wire. Is everything hooked up in your dashboard now? The only plug I can think of that straight across like that would be the wiper switch.

Everything is hooked up. No power to the red or yellow wire. The harness was already in the car.

Do the wipers and washer pump work? Because those’s wires do not have power if they are for the wiper switch. (Edit) Your wipers I don’t believe can be working.

OK, thanks. Upon further investigation, there are two of the same connectors with the yellow and red wires in them. When buba replaced the main harness, he couldn't get the connectors going to the wiper motor through the big dried out rubber grommet in the firewall, so he used the old wires for just the wiper motor to switch connection and left connector from the new harness dangling. That's the way I see it anyway.
And when he plugged into the wiper motor, only one prong was going into the connector, the other two were bent and outside the connector. Everything works now.
Thanks for your help.
