Default ralley wheels

I just purchased a 64 roadster that appears to have 63 corvette hubcaps on it I want to put ralley wheels on it.I know they came with 6 inch wide ralleys Can I put a 7 inch wide ralley without it rubbing and if so what backspacing?I would appreciate any input!! Thanks

Yes, by all means, welcome to the Corvette Forum.

If you can find a set of '68 Corvette Rally wheels, AG code, 15"X7", backspacing of 3-3/4", these should work on your car. If you know someone with a '68 (and original wheels, many were early on swapped for 15"X8" rally's) see if you can borrow one and see how it clears.

You'll find some additional discussion in this thread as well.

Good luck... GUSTO

I have a set of 69 Z/28 15x7 wheels mocked up on my '64 and they do NOT clear in the rear. I think they are 4 1/2" backspace so you need the corvette offset mentioned above.
