2023 C2 of the Year Finalist - Unmodified
Easiest Fix Ever
I was driving the '66 L79 last week and realized my turn signals weren't working. Not knowing if my brake lights were working, I was very careful driving home. When I got it in the garage, I was able to see (by reflection) that the brake lights, headlights and tail lights were all working, but not the front or rear turn signals. I didn't have time to start troubleshooting until yesterday, but I was not looking forward to it as electrical is not one of my strengths.
I had installed LED tail lights a few years ago, so the first thing I did was pull down the electronic flasher to check it out. As I pulled it out of the clip, I noticed the plug wasn't fully seated so I pushed it all the way on and what do you know, I had turn signals again!
Wish every fix was that easy.

Isn't it refreshing when it all works out?!
I converted the Mustang to front discs this weekend, each side took less than an hour from start to finish and that included beer breaks. No frozen fasteners, stripped threads, rounded brake line fittings.
It is funny that aggravations are so normal the "by the book" fixes seem like a breath of fresh air!

Refreshing to hear two "easier than anticipated" stories.

Silly, easy fixes are the pay back for the 99% that cause you headaches, money and busted knuckles.

I had the same exact problem a few weeks ago. My son fixed it for me in about 15 seconds.

A few years ago one of my headlights quit rotating when toggling the switch. The other worked fine.
Reading all the headlight headaches here only increased my anxiety.
So, I set aside a Saturday morning, laid out the usual suspect tools, put the front up on ramps, and rolled under the car on the creeper. What did I see? The connector plug to the headlight motor was disconnected, laying loose.
