So... in the case of a radio delete car - do you guys who drive them listen to your phones? a bluetooth speaker? install something in the glove box? carry a boom box? Lol

I have a chatter box in the right seat that is impossible to turn off.
It has a very high shrill when I go to fast and a low moan when I make a wrong turn.

I don't have a radio delete car but I wish I could find someone that makes a cassette radio that would fit the dash in my 57 without altering the stock dash . I have tons of oldies cassettes from the 50's and 60's that I would like to be able to use.

That's the advantage to open exhaust. No more obsessing about new creaks and rattles.
Pretty soon you never hear any new noises.
Seriously, the older I get, the less I need to listen to music in a car.

I seldom turn the radio on in my cars, even the ones that do have radios. I don't feel the need to be constantly entertained.

Wife manages tunes from her phone to a Bluetooth Bose rechargeable speaker. Works fine but it has to compete with side pipes and top down so we don’t expect great acoustics.

Those of us over fifty aren't in the need to be constantly electronically distracted. We tend to simply enjoy driving the car, and listening to the symphony of sounds it makes. And, as previously stated, listening FOR that dreaded thump, smash, crack, clack, thud, or click that means trouble.

honestly, you guys who only drive your cars listenting for it to break - really don't get the enjoyment of driving a vette -
Drive the car, enjoy life, if it brakes, fix it -
turn up the tunes!

I am too busy getting praises, thumbs ups, cat calls, questions, looks, stares, challenges from new slow cars, etc. to need a radio!
I can't hear my passenger either!

Absolutely unequivocally PRICELESS comment. First laugh of the day. And I thought I would have to wait for Friday Funnies.

If it brakes, I stop. If it breaks, I fix it. Not waiting for it to break when I drive, but am familiar with each car and know how it's supposed to sound and feel. Just the mechanic in me. Love a good sound system in a modern car. In an older one, not as important as I am focused more on the driving experience.

It should be a felony not to play Steppenwolf's Born to Be Wild on any classic car trip over 35 minutes...
If you at least play Lynyrd Skynyrd's Free Bird the charge should be reduced to a misdemeanor.

Some of you are probably too young to relate but the 50's and 60's were a time when cars , guys and music just went together. The car didn't move until the radio was on. But in my opinion the best songs ever were in the 50's and I even missed out on most of that except for the tail end . It's a shame that everyone couldn't have experienced those times .
