Jerry, That's great that's you still have the 68 It's amazing that the cars share so much of our lives. My 65 was in front of the church when my wife and I got married in 78. We drove it to the Poconos on our honeymoon. My 2 daughters are grown now with kids of their own. They still go for rides with me as do the grandchildren.

Great story. I couldn't keep my cool cars from the polyester bell bottom era. I always needed the trade-in cash. Neat story. Thx
Thanks. Yes, that is my father standing in the doorway waving. He was a great guy. The picture is definitely a keeper.
The car will stay in the family. My oldest grandson will probably be making new memories with it.

Great pics - old and new! And, given the time period, your hair wasn't all that long.

Great pics, thanks for sharing!

I was born in ‘73 but the history of these cars is amazing. My dad bought mine in ‘75 and to this day is glad he kept it. How many times do we hear about the one that got away?

I hope my kids show pics of their dad (with Corvette) to their buds some day...

Happy Anniversary!

Nice story. Thanks for sharing. I got married to my first wife on that date. Only lasted 24 years.

The history is amazing for the younger guys. Many of you have had your cars much longer than I've been alive, as Matt observed (Spring of '80). The longevity and memories are impressive!

Benton,
Time flies when you're having fun. Hard to believe so much time has elapsed. I think it's great for the younger guys to see us older guys really were young once. Nice to see you guys appreciate these cars and are keeping the torch alive

Congratulations. You obviously knew what you were doing when you were 18. And, to be able to keep it all these years, with all that was going on in your life, is an amazing achievement. Wish I would have done what you did!

Life does get in the way. The one constant in my adult life has been this car. Well my wife too, but she came a couple of years later. I do remind her of that occasionally

That was the Don Johnson look from Miami Vice. You must have been quite a "swordsman" back in the day
