Default Wheels & Tires for my 65

I almost hate to post this as there are already countless threads on this subject, but I am still unable to find my question answered.
I am planning on buying Torq Thrust D polished 15x7 wheels & tires for my 65. I want the widest tire that will fit on the back without interference, and the car to be level or slightly lower in front.
Can someone help? Do these wheels come with various offsets, or the one offered in the 15x7 be correct?

I have 245/60/15 on rear, on AR Torque Thrush 15x7 inch with 3.75 BS. Before the 5 spokes, I had 235/60/15 on 6 inch rallies with 3.5 inch BS.

I would only use 205X75X15s on my '64s and '66. Too dangerous with anything else and they look great:

Stock fenders? Fender lip shaved for clearance? Fender flares?
Also, right side and left side clearances will likely be different. (Manufacturing tolerances or prior boddy work.). How big is the difference?

At 245/60-15 you need the stars aligned to fit with a zero offset 7" wheel

235 is the biggest that fit my car in a 60 series tire (stock fenders, zero offset (4" back space) 15x7. One side was VERY close, the other could have handled a 245/60. I did a handful of minor chassis mods to make it work on the inner side of the tire.

Hope you can get something you like.
Merry Christmas

Harry

Edit..just a recommendation..least risk and still a wider look with 3.75" bs: 215/70-15

forgot to write the size of tires, rear are 235-60-R15 front 215-65-R15 on TT with 3.75 backspacing , American will make them up with any backspacing you ask for. car is a little high in the back in this picture, it had just come off jack stands in the garage.

I bought and mounted 15x7 with 3.75” BS all around but on the rear had to shim wheel out about 1/8” to clear caliper. Did you have to shim yours?

A friend has a 66, didn’t have to shim either. Don’t understand, unless mine doesn’t have the original calipers or there is a deviation in manufacturing tolerances.

Yeah, I don't know, maybe the backspacing on the rims are an 1/8" off. anything is possible. Main thing is your vibration is gone, The tires are no longer sticking out of the wheel wells and the car runs well.

What size rim and BS are you running with 205/75-15 tires?

They came from Tire Rack as what they recommend, 15X6 with 4mm offset.
