Wunderbar Radio Repair
Can anybody recommend a good, reputable place to get my original Wunderbar radio into working condition? I do not want it cosmetically restored, just made to work. Probably will never use it but I think it would be nice to get it working. Near York PA would be even better!

I sent the radio from my '63 to Joe's. Great results, fair and open pricing. http://www.joesclassiccarradio.com/index.html

Robert Siegfried in Sebastopol, California - he did both of mine in 1995, and is still doing them - he REALLY knows Wonderbars.

His name is CHARLES Siegfried. He "rebuilt" my 1960 wonderbar radio twice but it died after a couple of years each time . I finally sent it to Jerry Rudbeck, who's now retired. He stated that my radio had some "band-aid" fixes but was never "restored". He sent pictures of the half-azz repairs. Talk about "Bubba". He went through it deeper than it had ever been touched and it still works great 20 years later. I wouldn't send one to C.S. on a bet.

Thanks to rotobug. Elizabethtown PA is about 1/2 hour from me. I go through there several times a year. I will check with him. Good work????? One of my big concerns is to give a shop my original radio that most likely was never worked on and get back a generic piece of junk.
