Why don't you simply drill the rivets out. Paint, buff and re-rivet.
I can't see your phots for whatever reason.

Drifting
Very difficult to drill each rivet on center on these grills. I've found that using a sharp wood chisel to shear the heads off is a much faster and easier way to disassemble the grill.
