I don't know how you do it, but keep it up. Stripping my car gave me a new appreciation for paint and body work guys and gals. I have decided it is not for me and with my ocd I think I would go crazy. At least more than I already am. Looks good.

I know what you're saying. After doing the Nomad, I wasn't sure I would do another one, but here I am. Crazy as it is, I'm actually enjoying the challenge.
As I stated before, I have a huge amount of respect to those paint and body guys.
Now, I'm down to the nitty gritty. I spent over 5 hours on the right front fender today. I'm trying to do one fender per day. Once I think I have it, I'll apply the third coat of primer and begin the 3rd blocking.

Looks real nice, Pat.
Are you going to install the car body back on the frame and mock up doors etc. before you paint?

Yes, as soon as I'm done with the primer and blocking, I'm going to put the car back onto the chassis. I'll go ahead and black out the engine compartment and wheel wells, but I will fit doors, hood and deck lid after it's back on the frame.
Once all doors and body lines are correct, I'll take the doors, hood and deck lid back off the car. I'll then apply paint, and begin the task of re-assembly.
I would like to be able to paint the body while on the dolly, but I just simply don't have the experience, or the confidence to attempt to assemble and line things up without causing damage.

Pat,
I think your plan is good, That's the way I would do it also.
I wonder if you could assemble the headlight buckets without the stops and carefully roll them to color the sides then paint them with the car. One less thing to worry about adjusting after paint.

After the third block, it's coming together very nice.
No sign of the third tail lights anymore.
Going to black out the wheelwells, and the engine compartment. Then get ready to place back onto the frame.

Pat,
i spent most most of last night reading this excellent thread. It’s hard to believe you started less than a year ago and here you are almost ready for paint and reassembly. Keep it up, it’s already better than when it rolled off the factory floor!
