Yep, no body filler. That's the welding talents of a good friend of mine.

Show off!
Decided that I should just throw in the towel!!!

This build is such a good reference for every aspect of a build. The pictures are spot on and rapid fire. I am lucky having my brother involved, as I am having him do what Pat does and telling him just to try and do it better. If he fails we will still be better than I would have ever expected. This is my version of a reverse psychologies on an auto build.

This underbody cleaning is "Not" a lot of fun!

Need to get more lacquer thinner tomorrow.

If you want that to really look nice and clean get a jitterbug sander with 220 grit and go over it.

I disagree, clean it like you are and move on, after everything is assembled it will be just fine.

Probably about as good as I'm going to get it.

A little more detailing on the tunnel, and thats about it.

It looks real good. A brass wire wheel and a drill might get just a little more from some of the crevices.

Several guys on here use KRYLON INDUSTRIAL semi flat black no. 1613. It has just the right amount of shine.

Thanks for the comments Guys.

I am finding out that the resin/fiberglass is frigging hard stuff!
That stuff doesn't sand too easily.

Sure is. Just make sure you have a good mask as you don’t want any of it ending up in your lungs!!!

My first shot at sanding, and shaping the repair. Obvious are the air bubbles in the fiberglass.

I will now do as DUB has said to finish with VPA.
