The ‘66 sold for $65,000!

Great car, I hope the buyer drives and enjoys the car!

Was sale price around what you expected? They went to commercial right when it came up and couldn't get live feed to work.

I was happy @ $60,000, but there was a lot of action around the car.

The 58 goes on Saturday, we’ve had a few serious buyers. We could not ask for a better location, we are dead center of the Salon Showcase.

Hope it does well. I still have a 58 on a new chassis. Maybe it will encourage me to get back on the horse and build another one!!

Congratulations Rob!

Crazy that it went to commercial just as your car was coming up, but fortunately I had hooked up to the computer, so I was able to view it while it was auctioned.

Boy....they don't waste any time at all do they?

I couldn't even begin to imagine their infrastructure costs, and the time required putting one of these auctions together. But something tells me they're not too worried about where their next mortgage payment is coming from.

Good luck on the '58!

Pat

You are correct, entry fee (registration) was $800 so my net was $59,000

Well, that black and silver 58 restomod that just sold for $400K plus fees should make you feel good.

CONGRADULATIONS! I am sure you are happy with the $350K sales price. I did not see much of the $400K 58 for comparison but I am guessing the bump in price was due to the classic black and silver color.

Congratulations Rob. Your car looked great as it crossed the block. The Velocity guys loved your luggage - a super nice touch!
