Just did a search for a dyno shop in Colorado Springs. Found 2 in just a couple minutes; 3 pulls for $65 at one and $75 at the other.

True.

While tearing down my old engine to scavenge parts for my new engine build, testing of my vacuum canister determined that it had failed and could pull no advance at all.

And yes, my old engine was kind of a dog with fleas, for this and other reasons, e.g. weak-assed Rochester 4jet carb , low HP cam, 1.94 valve heads, flat-dished pistons, etc.
