I finally realized to do this job properly (install the insulation) the heater box needs to be remove.

So please talk me through it with the secrets if there are any.

Have my dash painted, new pads installed. Waiting for radio to be returned. Starting to make some progress

Make sure all bolts and nuts are removed. Then take a wide putty knife and gently pry lose. Then re-seal it replace or re-core the heater core. Clean it up, lube the cables and put it back
