Default 1964 / vintage air installation

I have a 1964 Corvette, 300 HP, Automatic Transmission. I am installing a vintage air conditioner. What is the recommended radiator for the added air conditioner? How many row cross flow (2-3-4) is recommended? Does an aluminum radiator dissipate more heat than a metal/brass radiator? Any recommendation on the radiator thickness or cooling fins per square inch? Any special or recommended installation procedures? Thank for your help!

After installing a VA system in my 66 300 hp car four years ago my engine did start to run hot. I replaced the fan clutch, installed a larger fan and purchased a DeWitts radiator from Summit, problem solved. https://www.dewitts.com/collections/...inum-radiators Now the water temp rarely gets over 180*.

In my 65 I also have a new DeWitts radiator. I also added a factory 7 blade fan. That is all I needed.

On my '65 I just added the heavy duty fan clutch, a 7 blade fan, and the rubber upper radiator seal. Temp is fine. I wouldn't buy a radiator without trying easier (cheaper) things first.

Default A/c

I have a Vintage Air system in my black/black 66 coupe. I added a Dewitt rad, 7 blade fan, heavy duty fan clutch and all the seals. Like others, my temp. does not go above 180 degrees. Jerry

I run a 4 core Dewitts radiator. $$$ but worth it. Large flex fan on spacers and 50/50 Prestone mix. Works great!
