Default Elkhart Blue

I like Elkhart Blue...It is kind of a sliver blue color depending on the angle of the sun like in these photos..Of course I'm a little biased.

Marina Blue...blue interior.

That hardtop has 50+ year old original laquer. The car has 25 year old basecoat clear....

It's an easy to maintain color.

JIM

PS-- I like silver with red a lot too!

I've owned lots of different cars and my blue Corvette is super easy to keep clean.

I occasionally wash it, but usually a wipe down with a super soft cloth wetted with Griot's cleaner gives me a clean finish that looks fantastic.

My car was painted by previous owner - it's close to Nassau blue, but slightly different shade. I love it.

Default Trophy Blue

Not a deep Blue, but seems to have a lot of silver (not a lot of metalflake).

Ok forget it. I forgot I'm on the corvette forum which is light years behind every other forum for adding photos
Posting pictures on this site is VERY easy. You must be the only one yet to figure it out

I have a Nassau blue convertible, but silver with a red interior has got to be one of the best looking combinations ever.

This is my Admiral Blue 2016 with Red interior I ordered new. GM built 2 ZO6's and my Z51 convertible in 2016. Admiral Blue was only offered for 2 months in 2016.

Can’t go wrong with silver / red. When I was looking for my 67, it was either that or marina blue / white. Ended up with blue/white given I found it with my two other “must haves” and that was L79 and AC.

Please don't take this as a hit , Beautiful car
But , Is that a replacement Front end ? The Belt line looks to drop from the doors forward. Wondering because .... I'm in the process right now ,of bonding on a new clip on the 67. I sure hope I get it right. Had to use a laser line level and copious amounts of measuring

Agreed that the silver would look better with the red, but if you're fixed on blue, try to go with a lighter hue if possible. No matter what, enjoy it!

Me too (except mine's a 67 Marina Blue/White).

As for the OP, not sure how and where you're driving, but I haven't washed my 67 (other than the wheels) in 7 years, and washed it once 8 years ago when I bought it. I don't drive in the rain and it's garaged.

So every time before I drive it, I clean the White convertible top with Vinylex and its rear window with Plexus; California duster on the body to remove the dust, followed by detail spray, clean all the glass, check tire pressures and fluids and go. Takes about 15 minutes. Car never gets dirty to ever need washing (except the wheels and tires which I wash using a watering can and soap and water, which allows me to clean them without getting water or water spots on the body, etc..).

The point being I could keep any color car clean in the same manner. So on these cars, washing is irrelevant to color choice. And no matter silver, dark blue, whatever, it's going to get dusty but not going to need washing unless you get caught driving in the rain. And then, not sure any color matters--you'll have to wash it. Cheers.

Nope. I think the 1st pic may be distorted because it's a screenshot from a video (so is the 2nd btw). It definitely has a rake to it vs a stock version as well as the front tires being approx .3" shorter than the rears...I'm also hitting the brakes making the nose point down even further. Here is a another pic with approx the same angle w/ another '67. I also replaced all the weatherstripping since I took these pics because we couldn't get the doors to line up...turns out the weatherstripping was made in China and on the hard side. Went w/ made in USA, which was much softer and now they line up perfect!

Yup. Looks better. That other picture was off.
