Only if you're trying to pass it off as original with fraudulent intent.

You can't get real ones based on vin, no records are available with that information. You can only get fake ones made up based on the options you provide to whoever is making them up.

I made these jacking instructions (made to look old and worn).
I was gonna use on my car but it has the original one still on the board.

U can take this and have it printed-out on antique-looking paper/card-sock.

Yea... they’ve gotten good. When $$ involved, fakes generally get better. It’s sad.

That's ONLY true for cars initially sold in the US! Cars that were ordered & shipped to Canada from St. Louis have records available at GM Canada for a reasonable fee. Fyi, Bill

You could join the NCRS and get a document to the selling Chevrolet dealer when it was new.

Yup, and that's about the extent of official documentation available. And many or most of those dealers from 50+ years ago are no longer in business.

And with todays privacy laws, it makes it damn near impossible to follow the ownership trail backward from you thru the various state motor vehicle licensing offices to that original selling dealership. This exercise had to be done 25-30 yrs ago.

Frank you and others can draw your own conclusions up about him and others who make these docs up. Like I said faking them is ok if you make them look brand new. When you start to age them that is where I draw the line from fun to fraud

+1 for Jim Clemens out of FL. He's the one listing items on EBAY. I've had him repo stuff for years. He can even make keys with knockouts.
