Trailer hitches
I see occasionally people looking for trailer hitches for their C2s. The old Draw Tite type hitches require that you drill holes in your bumpers and are unsightly on the car.
About 20 years ago I took my 66 coupe to a shop that remove the rear valance and fabbed a structure attached to the rear frame with a receiver tube. It had a hole drilled through the bottom and top of the receiver tube with a nut welded on the top so you could secure the ball mount when you wanted to use the trailer hitch. Put the valance back on with a square hole cut in it and the license plate on a "door" from a car that had a gas fill tube behind it originally. You never knew it there unless you were pulling something.
I wish I would have taken pictures of it.

I Googled it and found this on ebay which is very similar to the one I had.

Unfortunately, my '65s rear bumpers have the remnant holes of having been drilled to accept a bumper hitch in its past.
Any of you guys wanting to bolt on a bumper hitch onto your C2, we can work out a trade to swap by holy bumpers for your intact ones.

I guy I worked with set up his new 396 red 65 convertible purchased at VV Cooke in Louisville with trailer hitch similar to 68hemi. I believe he towed a 26ft. Travel trailer with it. I've wondered where that car ended up. Corvettes sure weren't babied back then.
