Paid way too much, I call AAA service, never touch the jack, much cheaper and keeps my knuckles. Plus all the Jack does is rattle all the time, bad for the nerves.

There were 3 bidders over $500. Two of those were over $800. So more than one who thinks it was worth it.

I just don't see how the high price of rare parts makes the hobby any less fun. I needed to buy a 64 jack, because I like original parts. I paid a high price, but not as high as that buyer paid. I was tickled to get the jack. I wanted a real teak wheel, and paid a high price. That was some years ago. I was thrilled to get the piece. Doesn't seem so high now. These parts will never be as affordable as they are now. This is a great hobby!

I currently have my Sting Ray sitting up in the air in my garage on four of those things. Precipitous at best.

Mostly agree...

I don't even tell people what I paid for a restored 1963 power brake booster a few years back -- and now that's looking like a bargain.

I think the 'shock factor' is when people see something whose fit and function is identical to a piece you can get at Harbor Freight and elsewhere for $24 bringing $800+ because it has certain markings, etc. it just rankles... And the icing on the cake is that the jacks are not the greatest way to raise a car in any case...
