Default Seat belts ? Not sure what I have.

Hey Guys
I’m back.. Guys Im planning on getting my car judged this spring.
It’s a 1966 Coupe 427 L72 . Production date 1/28/66 vin 112473
Im getting into the interior and mostly looks really good but checking my
NCRS Judging Manual calls out 2 suppliers.
I have the Irving that the manual says I need IC-8000
Mine reads ID-8000 I have photos of the buckle and belt tag.
The anchor plate reads ID-5000-75.17
The IC. & ID has me confused what I have if it’s even for this car.
Most of my parts are Sourced in 1965
I think they could be ok but I want to be sure ..

Default Try The NCRS Site

You need to be on the NCRS site . I'm sure you will get more info there as they are very serious about details .

"46 A 65" indicates the belts were made the 46th week of 1965, so they were made sometime between 11/15/65 and 11/21/65.

I can't really comment much on the ID-8000 1-10 buckles, other than to say that I have seen those buckles before. You might want to check the NCRS Forum, I seem to remember the ID-8000 buckles being discussed there in the past?

Irving belts were used up to about vin #14,000. Your anchor plates are right on with the ID.5000.75.17. The Irving labels are dated correctly. The NCRS Judging Guide does say the buckles have Model IC-8000 but yours look right and all the other components are correct for someone to just change the buckles. If the stitching at the buckle matches the stitching at the anchor plate, then I would go with what you've got. Let them prove you wrong and the deduction wouldn't probably be more than 1 point. Definitely not worth changing. I believe yours are right, but i'm not a judge.

I own a red 66 small block coupe that was built on Friday of the week before yours. My seat belts, which I believe are original, are dated 3-A-66. Much closer to the final assembly date. I don't think it means anything but just interesting.

Thanks Friend Yes the stitching all looks the same top & bottom both drivers and passenger. I’m a NCRS member but I’m having trouble logging on these past few months.
Wrote them today to correct it..
Well your right just have them prove me wrong it’s just the IC & ID on the latch that’s
really strange and don’t jive .
I have a 64 Im going to check belts in soon as it warms in storage now.
Just hate to lose points on an item that could of been corrected. Few more pics.
