Default History lesson in pics of all 7 Gens of Corvette trucking/Train delivery~Mike Furman*

~I have been thinking about doing a post like this where I show all the different Generations of Corvettes as they either leave the plant via truckload or by train and then arrive at the dealership. Having started selling Corvettes during the tail end of the 3rd Generation I felt it would be good to share these pics starting from Generation 1 all the way thru current day 7th Generation. So here are pictures spanning 66 years of Corvette production 1953 thru the model year 2019.

Frank Class and one of the many Corvettes he bought from me...

A really cool thread Mike with lots of great photos.
What's the highest number of Corvettes one person has purchased from you?

One customer out of PA has purchased over 30 Corvettes from me...and he is on the list for a 2019 ZR1.

Those are cool pics. Interesting how that have learned how to pack more on the trucks through time. You can understand how 4 speed trans disappeared from Vettes shipped on trains. Dennis

Fantastic, Mike! Thanks for posting those!

I have only one humble contribution to add. In the mid-1970's my railroad job gave me a perfect view out my window of passing trains. I always watched for the one which originated in St. Louis, as it often had a carload or even two cars of Corvettes. I never got a shot from the yard tower, but did manage this one taken on my day off...

Perfect!! Exactly what I was hoping for is some folks to have some cool old shots of Corvettes in transport! Thank you very much.

A great time line of Corvettes in transit. The Malcolm Konner pictures sure bring back lots of memories of the Corvette Shows and the special guests which was always something to look forward to.
Thanks Mike
