Default Help Identifying Jack in C2

The pictures below show the jack that came with my 65. Obviously it isn't a C2 jack. The only lettering I could find is "2008".

Anyone have a clue what vehicle this jack is supposed to go with?

Thanks - Hunter

I would not assume that is not a C2 jack.

Are there any stampings on the saddle or the base, or on the wrench?

2008 may not mean the year, since Corvettes didn't have jacks that year, or several years prior to that. I don't think scissors jacks have been offered with new cars for years, have they?

It looks like a 75 to 82 style jack. Based on the "2008", it could be a GM service replacement jack from 2008, which was about the time GM discontinued them.

Here is an additional picture. I concur it must be a service replacement jack or out of an 1988 vehicle.

Thanks for your help - Hunter

Pull the handle out so we can see how many holes are in it. 65 only has 1 hole.

From the pics you show, it is not an original 65 jack (or any of the 3 versions of C2 jacks). The top lift pad should have the letter "A" stamped on it (made by Ausco). Also the bases are much larger for 68 & later jacks than C2 jacks which had a base of 6" long x 4-1/8" wide. Bill
