Default OT- P-51 Mustang arrived Yesterday

Got an unexpected surprise while volunteering at the National Museum of WW II Aviation yesterday. This P-51 Mustang arrived for a special event this coming Saturday and will remain for about 2 months.

I posted a video (with sound and no music!) of it taxiing to the museum. Enjoy

About as cool as it gets....those WWII warbirds are, IMO, mechanical art. And the guys who flew them, absolute heroes. In Fresno, when the still had airshows about 10 years ago, a young guy in his late 30's flew in to attend, in his own P-47. I had never seen a 47 in real life, and I could not believe how massive it was. The guy stayed for an hour, walked around, and then flew home. I envied that guy.........

This P-51 is painted to replicate the Mustang flown in WW II by Col Bud Anderson, a decorated pilot and triple ace in WW II.

The special event at the museum Saturday, and why this particular aircraft was brought in, is a visit and book signing by Col Anderson himself. Should be pretty cool.

I CANNOT ADEQUATELY EXPRESS HOW IT PLEASES ME THAT YOU DID THE VIDEO WITHOUT ANY MUSIC DUBBED IN!!!!!!!! EXCELLENT!

I will again emphasize---------WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY do any of the idiots who make videos like this have to ruin the sound of the real music????????? I'll never understand it!

I cannot wait for the day when I can make videos of our A26 run up to full power for the FIRST flight! It's gonna be awesome!

General Anders (also a former astronaut) owns a P-51 which he flys out of the Bellingham airport in Washington state. My daughter lived there for years, so I have had the pleasure of seeing him fly his 51 many times, for airshows and just for fun. Thanks for posting a great video.

Excellent point, DZ....and what about every restaurant (even nice ones now) having to play loud, insipid music at all times as well as big screens going 24/7. And the damn TV ads that pop up on gas pumps....it's TOO MUCH. AAALLLLLLLL we need to hear is the sound of an engine and let the rest happen naturally!!!

"Several" years ago we met Jack up at Oshkosh, when he flew Old Crow in.
